Plot:Orphans Edward "Blackie" Gallagher and Jim Wade are lifelong friends who take different paths in life. Blackie thrives on gambling and grows up to be a hard-nosed racketeer. Bookworm Wade becomes a D.A. vying for the Governorship. When Blackie's girlfriend Eleanor leaves him and marries the more down to earth Wade, Blackie harbors no resentment. In fact, their friendship is so strong that Blackie murders an attorney threatening to derail Wade's bid to become Governor. The morally straight Wade's last job as D.A. is to convict his friend of the murder, and send him to the electric chair. After he becomes Governor, Wade has the authority to commute Blackie's death sentence-- a decision that pits his high moral ethics against a lifelong friendship.

Manhattan Melodrama is the first of the fourteen movies that starred Myrna Loy & William Powell.

In pre-WWI Brooklyn, young Francie Nolan struggles to keep her idealism alive in the face of grinding poverty and the comedies and tragedies of ordinary life. Very close to the spirit of the Betty Smith novel.

Sandra and Pete elope but their marriage is invalid since she's not yet divorced. Sandra is, however, pregnant by Pete. Pete marries his former fiancée Maggie, then flies to South America where his plane crashes. Maggie pays Sandra to let her adopt Pete's baby. Pete returns "from the dead". Sandra and Maggie contend for Pete and the baby.

Unfortunately, the infant is a grotesque monster who embarks upon a grisly killing spree throughout Los Angeles!
The cops attempt to track down the blood-thirsty babe, as the parents (who have no idea how or why this happened)
try to cope with this unusual ordeal. Ahhh, the joys of parenthood…

Inspired by a real life custom from Thailand, where people would sleep in a coffin for a specific number of days hoping it would ward away evil and bad luck. A young man and woman decide to perform the ritual. After that, positive things begin to happen but later terror sets in. With the help of a professor specialising in paranormal cases, they set out to exorcise the ghosts that haunt them, attempting to reverse the wheel of karma.
